Here are some of the things I&#8217;ve heard in YouTube videos and around the internet:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Boosting with an analog EQ sounds better than boosting a digital EQ<\/li>\n<li>Digital EQs sound sterile and leave your mixes lifeless<\/li>\n<li>All plugin or digital EQs are exactly the same<\/li>\n<li>Plugin EQs are all different<\/li>\n<li>EQ boosts sound WAY worse than EQ cuts<\/li>\n<li>Use a linear phase EQ when setting a high pass filter during mixing<\/li>\n<li>Blah blah blah<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;d be willing to bet you&#8217;ve heard a few of these comments before as well.<\/p>\n<p><em>Are any of these true?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>To tell you the truth, it&#8217;s always complicated.
