Raytown Productions Website Privacy Policy

Controller: Raytown Productions, LLC ("Raytown Productions," "we," "us," or "our")

Applies to: the Raytown Productions website at www.raytownproductions.com — our studio, plug-in, help, and legal pages — and the purchases, reviews, inquiries, and emails that start there

Last updated: October 4, 2026

This policy covers our website: the studio pages, the plug-in overview and product pages, the help pages, and our legal pages (together, the "Site"), and the purchases, reviews, and emails that start on the Site. Our Cookies & advertising notice lists the cookies and similar technologies the Site uses and forms part of this policy.

Our audio plug-ins, and the licensing, activation, account, license management, update, and support services used with them, are covered by our separate Plug-in Privacy Policy. Where the two meet — for example, a plug-in purchase that starts on the Site — this policy covers the Site side and the Plug-in Privacy Policy covers the licensing side.

If you contact us through the studio contact form, this policy covers that inquiry. The studio work itself is covered by our Studio Terms of Service.

The short version

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics, advertising measurement, and crediting creators who refer you. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland we ask first; everywhere, we honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out from advertising and measurement. When you buy, download, or start a trial, we may send a conversion event to advertising or analytics providers we use to measure campaign performance, using a hashed email address and the ad's click identifier — but not if you rejected advertising cookies, sent Global Privacy Control, or opted out. We do not sell personal information for money.

1. What we process, and why

Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:

If you open a help link from inside one of our plug-ins, the link may include the product, its version, your operating-system type, and an error code, so the right help page opens. It does not include your email address, license key, or device identifiers. Where analytics runs (Section 2), it may record the page address you visited, including those details.

### Studio inquiries

The contact form collects your name, email address, the services you're interested in, your message and, if you choose, how you heard about us. We use it to answer your inquiry. An email delivery provider sends the message to us, and a spam-protection service checks the form, using your IP address and browser signals. If you tick the newsletter box, your name and email are added to our mailing list, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Your data will never be sold.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies, session storage, and tags from service providers to:

The Cookies & advertising notice lists each item, what it does, when it is set, and how long it lasts.

Your choice. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — and wherever we cannot tell your location — the Site asks for your choices (analytics and advertising) before analytics and advertising tags run; rejecting is one click, the same as accepting. Until you choose, those tags do not run, and neither does anything else optional, including the store's referral script that records which creator referred you. Elsewhere, the analytics and advertising tags run when you arrive unless your browser sends Global Privacy Control. You can change your choices at any time from the "Cookie settings" link, and you can also block cookies in your browser.

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out from advertising and measurement everywhere, regardless of your location and regardless of any cookie choices: analytics and advertising tags do not run, and GPC is passed with any purchase you start so that no conversion is reported for your email address (Section 3).

Do Not Track. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not respond to them. We honor GPC as described above.

3. Advertising and conversion measurement

When you arrive from an ad, a creator's link, or a tagged campaign link, the Site may remember that arrival information in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days — only if you accepted advertising and attribution cookies, or if you are somewhere we do not ask. When you click a buy button, the Site passes to our checkout provider, with your order: which button you clicked, your cookie choices (analytics and advertising), whether your browser sent GPC, and — for each category you accepted, or where consent is not required — the related arrival information and matching analytics or advertising browser identifiers. If you arrived through a creator's link, the matching discount code may also be applied.

When a free download, trial, purchase, or refund happens, we may send a conversion event to advertising or analytics providers we use to measure campaign performance. The event may include a pseudonymous contact identifier (a hashed email address), an advertising click identifier or browser identifier, the event type, the product, an event or order reference, and limited transaction information such as an order amount. Hashing does not make personal information anonymous. IP addresses, device user-agent strings, audio, project files, license keys, and machine-level licensing information are not provided for this purpose.

We tell analytics providers about an event only where you accepted analytics cookies, and advertising providers only where you accepted advertising cookies — or, for either, where consent is not required for your location. Where consent is required, we tell neither if we cannot determine your choice. We also tell neither where your browser sent GPC, and we tell no advertising provider where you previously opted out of advertising for that email address. A rejection of advertising cookies, or a GPC signal, received with an order is recorded as a lasting advertising opt-out for that email address, so later events for that address are not reported to advertising providers either. A GPC signal also stops analytics reporting for that address.

Advertising and measurement providers may also process information under their own terms and privacy practices, depending on their role in the processing.

Raytown Productions does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws use terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly and may treat certain advertising or measurement disclosures as covered activities. Where those laws apply, we provide and honor the required rights and opt-outs, including GPC. You can also opt out by rejecting cookies from the "Cookie settings" link or by contacting us (Section 13).

4. Purchases, downloads, and trials started on the Site

Purchases, free downloads, and trials that start on the Site are processed by an authorized merchant of record, reseller, or other transaction provider, under its own terms and privacy practices. Some products shown on the Site are sold by other stores; when you follow those links, that store handles your purchase under its own terms and privacy practices.

When payment-card details are handled entirely by a third-party payment provider, Raytown Productions does not receive or store your full payment-card number or card security code. We may receive limited transaction, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, refund, referral, and purchase information — such as your name, email address, the product, the amount, any discount or creator referral, and the checkout information described in Section 3 — reasonably necessary to administer purchases, licenses, creator credit, and refunds. The arrival information that comes with an order is kept with that order's records. Licensing that follows is covered by the Plug-in Privacy Policy.

Recent-purchase notices. Some pages briefly show recent orders from our store, such as "Alex R. purchased Clarity Delay," linked to that product's page on the Site. While the store has few paid orders, these notices also show free trial starts and free downloads. A notice shows only the buyer's first name and last initial, the product, whether it was a purchase, trial, or download, and roughly when it happened (for example, "3 days ago") — never a full surname, an email address, a location, an order number, or an amount. Anyone can ask to be left out of these notices by emailing dsp@raytownproductions.com, and we honour those requests. To honour one, we keep a one-way (SHA-256) hash of the email address and the date it was added, not the address itself.

5. Reviews

If you submit a review, we store the name, rating, headline, review text, and email address you provide, the time, and which of our emails (if any) invited the review. We check your email address against our store's order records to decide whether the review can show a verified-purchase indication. Reviews are moderated before they appear. We publish your name, rating, headline, and review; we do not publish your email address.

6. Emails

Service messages are sent when reasonably necessary to administer a purchase, download, trial, license, security matter, or request — for example order and license information, verification codes, and replies to your messages.

Marketing messages include mixing tips and tutorials, product news, promotional sequences, offers and discounts, and announcements of other products. When you start a plug-in trial, you receive a short series of emails about it, including promotional ones, whether or not you tick the mailing-list box. The Plug-in Privacy Policy provides additional information about plug-in email communications and marketing preferences. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we honor unsubscribe and other opt-out rights. Unsubscribing does not stop service messages and never affects a purchase or a legitimate trial or paid license.

7. Content from other providers and links

The Site serves its fonts itself; no font service is contacted. It loads a referral script from our store's provider on every page; that provider receives information such as your IP address and the page you are on. Videos on the Site are shown as a still image and load from the video provider, in its privacy-enhanced mode, only when you click play.

The Site links to pages we do not operate, such as our checkout provider, other stores, our video channel, and our license-management portal. Their privacy practices are their own; the license-management portal is covered by the Plug-in Privacy Policy.

8. Who we share information with

We share information only as needed for the purposes in this policy, with:

We may also disclose information at your direction; where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud or security abuse; to our professional and legal advisers; when required by law, legal process, or a governmental request; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of relevant business assets, subject to applicable law.

9. Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely, as appropriate, on:

10. How long we keep it

11. Your rights

Where applicable law provides them, you may have the right to:

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn, and does not affect processing that relies on another lawful basis.

Requests are subject to applicable exceptions and to verification of your identity — usually by replying from the email address you used with us. We may keep limited information where reasonably necessary to maintain a license or transaction record, comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, maintain security, or honor an unsubscribe or privacy opt-out.

To make a request, contact us (Section 13). We will respond within the period required by applicable law and, where no specific period applies, within a reasonable time. If applicable law gives you a right to appeal our decision on a privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our response or contacting us using the information below.

12. Transfers, children, security, and changes

International transfers. Raytown Productions is based in the United States, and we and our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where international-transfer laws require safeguards, we use a lawful transfer mechanism appropriate to the transfer, such as an applicable adequacy decision or framework, standard contractual clauses and any required addendum, or another safeguard recognized by applicable law.

Children. The Site is not directed to children as defined by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information in circumstances where parental authorization or another legal requirement has not been satisfied. If we learn that we collected such information unlawfully, we will delete or otherwise handle it as required by law.

Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process — for example, encrypted connections to the Site. No system is perfectly secure.

Changes. We may update this policy as the Site, our providers, or our legal obligations change. The current version and its effective date will be posted on the Site. Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it.
