Why you see it
OS2 is an error from Stacks.audio, the licensing system the legacy Clarity Delay (1.1.0 and earlier) still uses. Only that version shows Stacks errors, and they cannot be fixed on the Stacks side.
Every Stacks error, one fix
All of these come from Stacks, not from Clarity Delay itself, and all of them go away when you update.
| Error | What Stacks says it means |
|---|---|
| OS2 | Seen in the legacy Clarity Delay. Stacks does not document it. |
| AuthFile_Missing | The license file Stacks needs is missing. |
| AuthFile_Expired | The license was not renewed, usually because the computer was offline for more than 30 days. |
| AuthFile_NotActive | The license was never activated on Stacks' side. |
| AuthFile_Error | The license file is invalid. |
| AuthFile_Corrupt | The license file is damaged. |
| LinkFile_Missing | Stacks cannot find the file that points to the product's content. |
| LinkFile_FolderMissing | The product's content folder is missing. |
| LinkFile_SamplesMissing | The product's content is not in its folder. |
AuthFile_Expired in particular can never happen again after you update. Clarity Delay 1.2.0 and later never need to check in, so there is no 30-day clock to run out.
The fix: update Clarity Delay
Clarity Delay 1.2.0 and later are licensed by Raytown Productions directly, not by Stacks, so Stacks errors cannot happen in it. You also get a perpetual license: once activated, it works offline and never needs to check in.
Your license comes with you at no cost. Follow Moving from Stacks to the new Clarity Delay; it takes a few minutes.
