Licensing and activation

Activating a plugin

Where your key is, what the email field is for, and what happens on this computer when you click Activate.

All plugins Updated 2026-09-21

What you need

Two things from your purchase email: the license key (five groups of letters and numbers) and the email address you bought with. The email matters: the key is tied to it, and a key entered with a different address is rejected as "License not found" (error 2101).

Activate

  1. Open the plugin and go to its license page.
  2. Enter the key and the email, then click Activate.
  3. The plugin confirms the license with the server and activates this computer. From then on it works offline, and it checks in with the server on its own whenever it is online. (Clarity Delay 1.1.x needs that check-in about once a month; update to Clarity Delay 1.2.0 to remove the limit.)

Each license runs on three computers at once. Activating a fourth shows "All activation seats in use" (error 3103); free a seat first - see Moving a license to another computer.

If it says the license isn't valid

  • Check the email. The most common cause is a different address than the one on the receipt. If you bought under an old address, restore the license with that address.
  • Check the key. Copy and paste it from the email rather than retyping; keys never contain 0, O, 1 or I, so if you see one of those, retype it.
  • Trial keys are retired by a purchase. If you bought the plugin while on a trial, use the new key from the purchase email, not the trial one (error 2104).
  • Bought from a partner store? A plugin bought from a partner such as Audioloom is licensed by that store, not here. Only plugins bought from the Raytown store use this activation page.
